(The implementation of Mobile spawns and attack objectives)
December 31st 1500 CT, 1939, Köln
The call to arms came when least expected. The axis armed forces enjoyed a well deserved vacation in Köln after a descicive victory over the allied forces. Peae
Generalmajor Svedala, Stellvertrender Befelshaber des PR Korps was sipping on some cognac from the liberated territories while his adjutant oberst Pittpete entered.
” We have been nerfed?” Pittpete said waving with some papers.
” What do you mean? Nerfed, don´t know that word!?” Svedala answered in a calm manner, fully occupied by the aroma of the congnac.
” You silly swede…” Pittpete started but changed, ” Herr general. The gods does not favour us as they have changed the ownership of the whole Britain, almost whole France and Belgium and…”
” How awkward.” Svedala lost the interest for drinking more. ” That is somewhat rude, is it not?!”
” Yeah, they don´t give a rats ass for us. Anyway, FeldmarshallXX Megablam has recieved orders from Calistor; Oberbefehlshaber der Achsenmächte, to move on the enemy at once. As we speak, allied forces are rolling over our borders !”
Svedala took the papers and read thru them.
Irrgang? Erkhlwaffung?? reported that all axis equiptment where now Tier 0, meaning panzerkampfwagen 38, 3 f and 4 d was the main body of das Heer, and the 109E was Luftwaffes best fighter. Kriegsmarine, well they had the same, because they only had Vacant Schmidt doing research, and he was always busy with, well beeing vacant. It seemed like the newly formed Fallschirmjäger was ready thou and plenty of fresh junker 52 pilots eager to perform their duties.
” Well, the equiptment is back to basic. Somewhat discouraging, doing it all again. Well, let´s do something for our workers so they get going. Mabye some posters of nekkid Berlin Betty, will do the job” Svedala proclaimed and lost it for a while, to a daydream that is.
” Fetch my officer uniform!” Svedala ordered schutze Poot. ” Sir, you have no officer uniform. It’s not here?!” Poot said and shuddered as he came back from the closet. ” Don’t be silly. I need to go to Wuustwezel now. It’s there in the closet, where I left it!” Svedala went into the closet and looked around. ”Wth? Where is my uniform?!” Svedala made a couple of phone calls, and his uniform was no where to be found. It had just disappeared. After filling out the forms to get a new officer uniform, and somewhat disturbed that someone had taken his fine uniform, he borrowed an enlisted uniform and jumped into his 232 to head for Wuustwezel and the war. Svedala stepped out from his 232 at Wuustwezel and was immediately gunned down by concealed british riflemen outside of the armybase. In the meanwhile other brave axis soldaten was gunned down from the barracks. Svedala made his way, wounded and upset, to the barracks to get some help. After being patched by a medic and in a new infantry uniform he makes his way out of the barracks armed with a brand new anti-tank rifle. It doesn´t take long before the first enemy is within range. Svedala kills a British A13 commanded by Kfs1 with ATR, the A13 had killed 10 infantry before engulfed in flames. Later that evening using Roosendaal-Kalmthout FB as the point of attack, Svedala continued to use his ATR and killed UK Army Brig Gen Mandrill who drove an A13 and had killed seven axis soldaten. Following the excitement Svedala decided to return to his tent and do some paperwork. Soon a familiar face showed up in the opening. Oberleutenant oo6oo7, 3rd Panzergruppe reported for duty, quite eager to get to work. ” I’m back from my retirement under the ¨Welcome back soldaten¨ program”
" Nice to see you, Herr Oberleutenant,” Svedala replied and took a look at the situation map. ” Report to Esch for duty! They will soon be in need of a trained soldaten.”
” Will do.” The Oberleutenant replied and disappeared out in the darkness and they chilly night.
January 1st
Veteran soldaten Svedala deployed with his trusty rifle at a mobile spawn from Schilde Army base the following morning. The sun was on the rise and a silent morning breeze welcomed him to the battlefield. It was time to go for Antwerp and bind as many enemies as possible to the area in order to give the other units a chance to breakthrough the front. Jogging thru a sparse forest, Svedala soon meet an enemy rifleman. Less then a hundred meters away the enemy soldier thru himself to the ground and while Svedala sidestepped the shot missed, giving him time to kneel, aim and fire, sending captain Virtz from the UK Army to oblivion. The countryside was infested with enemy soldiers, taking position to ambush any axis advance in the area. It was impossible to go unnoticed as panzer or opel, but as infantry, Svedala made his way, and found another British rifleman in a berm scouting in another direction. Svedala shot his adversary and checked his papers. He was called Biffa, an enlisted rifleman from the UK Army and had made his way from a mobile spawn from Bergen Op Zoom. It was now certain that they were determined to control this area, and as planned, they where committing troops to keep it that way. Svedala and a few other riflemen were here to make sure that it would stay interesting for them to keep troops here. Patrolling the area and avoiding enemy scout vehicles, Svedala found a lonely sapper running over a field, straight for the axis mobile spawn. Letting the enemy get a shot at the opel would not be a good idea. So Svedala kneel, aimed and sent colonel Thecouch to the ground with his second shot. He then proceeded to relocate to Aarschot to join in on the attack on Lier. As a grenadier, Svedala killed three British infantry and one Vickers. Later, with an SMG, he killed corporal Thefsg and Brig Gen Dufnut who made a feeble attempt to stop Svedala. The FB was under pressure and enemy sappers where making attempts to bring it down. Svedala killed two enemy sappers with a flak30. With Lier capped Svedala spawned a rifleman at the Lier Army base in order to fend off a British counter-attack and killed two British sappers, a riflemen and an ATR. Later, with a fresh rifle, Svedala killed one smg and one rifleman. Reports showed that the British were using mobile spawns from Mechelen. Boarding a junker52 Svedala travelled with haste to the Zeeland islands to congratulate the troops for taking Veere earlier today. At a city hall oberst Bluff, stellvertrander befehlshaber der 3rd Kampfgruppe, 1st Panzerdivision went thru the operation to debrief brass on the assault on Veere. Officers from 1st Panzerdivision as well as 2nd Panzerdivision were present and the two officers who lead the assault, Batigol and Dvdoc sat on front row and between them a merry mayor, slightly drunk on mäsk.
” Things started off relatively normal with a last resupply run of the night. Whalley had made three previous Junker runs to Brouwershaven and a run to Kamperland to keep supply up incase of defense. On the last run at about 0450 Hrs, members of the 2nd Panzerdivision joined the group and we had a combined group of around twenty-five men. With these numbers, we debated hitting Veere, which was empty due to early morning hours. After deliberation, operations commenced and we were underway to Veere. Flieger Whalley and myself as gunner landed the troops northeast of Veere under fire from anti air artillery. From that point on, 2nd Panzerdivision was tasked with taking the depot linked to our town and 1st Panzerdivision with capping all other buildings. This immediately turned into a simulcap for the most part and all forces gathered in the army base for a final push. Enemy air became dense from this point on and several enemy fairmilles and a single enemy destroyer spawned into the harbor trying to stop the blitz. With the army base totally locked down at about 0510 Hrs we held the bunker and eventually capped it for a overall victory on the city. The engagement all in all lasted about forty minutes with minimal casualties due to enemy infantry but most of casualties to enemy air. It was a great night for the 1st Panzerdivision and I would like to give a special thanks to 2nd Panzerdivision for whom this attack would not have been possible!”
Stepping down from the podium, Oberstleutenant Bluff, bursting with pride looked out once more to get a glance at his 1st Panzerdivision banner flying it’s colors above the army bunker. ” Now, let us all go to the pub, drink and be merry.”
” I’m not having what his having!” Whalley protested, also a bit scared of getting his Flieger uniform soak with something as terrible as mäsk.
” Don’t worry!” Dvdoc said, and took out a bottle of brazilian cognac. ” We will have some of this to go with the local beer.”
” Always drink the local beer!” Leutnant Slob proclaimed from the hallway. ”Because it’s free. Yehaaaw!!”
The officers made their way to the pub, admiring the houses of the liberated town of Veere. With only time for one beer, Svedala made haste for his Junker to head for Luxembourg and a long awaited award ceremony. Situated in Luxemburg generaloberst Schaller, Oberfehlshaber der 12th Armee, saluted his troops for the last campaign. Svedala attended to make sure there would be enough beer to go around from the local brewery. He worked the taps, while Schaller stepped up to the podium, taking his time looking at his warriors.
” This is the award that was passed out Thursday night following the command meeting to all members of 12 Armee for your efforts in our victorious campaign against the Allies. Wear it with pride. Fantastic job to every one of you, you are a very talented group of soldaten that consistently put the hurt on the Allies through hard work, discipline and brilliant strategy. I'm very happy to be part of this Armee. On to our new Battles and victories.”
Obergefreiter Lampie passed out on the spot, due to a combination of to many medals on his chest and to much lite beer. He didn't fall hard, as Leutnant Slob, known to be a lite beer drinker already passed out, and provided a human airbag for Lampie. Tired and hungry after a day in the field and running between the barrels of real Swedish beer and American lite beer, and somewhat suffering from Junker lag,
Svedala hitched a ride with an opel returning from the frontline. Fed and tucked in bed he went thru the report and found something interesting from Das Heer, Oberfeldwebel Burne109 reported that elements of the 105th Panzerbrigade, amongst them kommendeur Moores, landed and secured a mountain in the Alps. Situated well over five kilometers above sea level the troops where searched and found Edelweiss for their unitforms. Also Befehl Mcdeath was recognized for an outstanding effort. The report stated that officials from Oberkommando der Wehrmacht recognized Mcdeath, 3rd Panzergruppe, for an outstanding effort earlier today, after Mcdeath have killed eight enemy units and attacked multiple targets during a mission and he was still missed in action. Another report from the same unit said that during heavy fighting in Schilde, Oberleutenant oo6oo7, killed eight enemy infantry fighting over the railroad bridge in Antwerp. With reports of success as a soft pillow, Svedala fell sound asleep.
